Vellamo Pumps is a Finnish company manufacturing and selling high-quality pumps. Vellamo pumps have been sold since the 1920s. In the name of the company and its products, there are national stories about the prestigious water hostess and the word “velloa” related to water movement. What better word for reliable pumps.
New and modern Vellamo pumps are designed in Finland taking into account the most precise quality criteria. The pumps are based on a number of the most experienced factors in the field, with international know-how and customer knowledge, as well as evidence of international pumping business.

THE STORY OF VELLAMO
Vellamo has been the name of pumps since the 1920s. From the very beginning, they are known for quality and reliability. Price magazine from 1936 explains how “self-priming” pumps were available in four different series: either pumps rotating 1425 revolutions per minute or rotating at 2,800 revolutions per minute. The power needs of pumps sold with three-phase shut-off engines and chassis plates ranged from 0.25 horsepower up to 13 horsepower. For example, the motor protection switches on the pumps were made of bakelith and were cast iron encased. Quality has been tangible since the early days.
Vellamo pumps are still designed and manufactured with the same high quality principles and criteria.
All Vellamo products are CE marked and meet the quality criteria, i.e. fully comply with EcoDesign 2009/125/EC.
